The grant provides $1400 for travel related to training provided that travel occurs within the 12 month appointment period.
Trainees may use the travel dollars to attend a national meeting, to visit the lab of a collaborator to learn a new technique, or to attend a course offered by a “national lab” (e.g. NIH, Woods Hole, Cold Spring Harbor, etc.). Regardless of when you travel you must complete a travel authorization form in advance of your travel and follow the steps before, during and after travel to receive reimbursement.
